FücoTHIN
FücoTHIN is a weight loss product containing an extract from brown marine seaweeds called fucoxanthin combined with pomegranate seed oil. Fucoxanthin is a carotenoid like beta carotene and has been clinically shown to have a thermogenic effect. Thermogenesis is a process where metabolic rate is increased in association with the burning of stored body fat, especially in the belly area. In human clinical trial, the metabolic rate with FücoTHIN was 18.2% higher than with diet alone. Three softgels of FücoTHIN, which is the recommended daily serving, contain 15 mg of fucoxanthin. FücoTHIN contains a minimum 5% concentration of fucoxanthin.
Preliminary results from a 2007 double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial of FücoTHIN involving 140 overweight female subjects showed that after 16 weeks there was a significant reduction in visceral fat and body weight. Study participants lost an average of 14.5 pounds of body weight, 11.5 pounds more than the placebo group. Body fat loss was 11.8 pounds in the fucoxanthin group, compared to just 2.8 pounds in the placebo group. The research on FücoTHIN was done in conjunction with an 1800 calorie meal plan. CURAMIN:
Turmeric contains the active ingredient curcumin which has been been shown to act as a natural anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal. In addition, curcumin has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells in vitro and in some animal studies. Circumin has also been shown to break up beta amyloid plaques in mouse brains. Accumulation of amyloid plaque is a critical component in the development of Alzheimer's disease.
In addition to curcumin, turmeric contains three analogues of curcumin called curcuminoids. As these analogues appear to play a role in turmerics health enhancing properties, they are included in this formula.
Boswellia is an herb from India and contains acids from this plants resins that have been shown to produce anti-inflammatory responses and have a positive affect on various skin diseases. a number of studies have shown the efficacy of boswellia in reducing swelling and stiffness in the joints.
Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid, one that must come from the diet and is not make in the body. This ammino acid is a proven pain reliever. Phenylalanine is widely distributed in the food chain and appears in various forms. In the product Curamin, it is in the form dl phenylalanine which is a form shown to be particularly effective in pain relief. Anyone having the genetic disorder Phenylketonuria should not ingest dl phenylalanine.

HOODIA GORDONII looks like a cactus, but is actually a succulent from the Kalahari Desert in
Residents of Southern Africa have been using hoodia for centuries to help ward off hunger during long trips in the desert. The television show 60 minutes, ABC and the BBC have all done stories on hoodia.
It takes about 5 years before hoodia matures and can be harvested. Although there are 20 varieties, only hoodia gordonii is believed to contain a natural appetite suppressant.

In reported animal studies, hoodia appeared to reduced caloric intake by 30 to 50 percent. One human study showed a reduced intake of 1000 calories per day.

The female body produces three separate estrogen's, Estriol, Estrone, and Estradiol. These estrogen's occur at the approximate levels of 90, 3 and 7 percent.
The pharmaceutical Premarin is derived from the urine of pregnant mares (equine {horse} estrogen's). It consists of 75-80% Estrone, 6-15% Equilin, and 5-19% Estradiol and two other equine estrogen's.
Because of such a significant difference in make up between human estrogen s and horse estrogen' s many unwanted side effects have occurred using standard hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

RESVERATROL (Pronounced res-VER-a trawl), is a type of phytoalexin which is a class of polyphenol compounds produced as part of a plants defense system against disease. It is both water and fat soluble. It is found primarily in red wine, grapes, raisins, cranberries, peanuts and the herb Japanese knotweed. This substance has been shown to be a helpful adjunct to your diet and supplement program.
Research shows that our hormones control the aging process. A reduction in insulin production as a result of lowering choleric intake has been shown to promote longevity. By limiting the activity of insulin, and a substance called IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor-1), researchers have been able to extend the life of animals. NATTOKINASE: Fibrin is a protein that forms in the blood to stop excess blood loss associated with an injury or trauma to the body. This protein also forms as a result of bacteria, viruses, fungi and toxins in the blood that trigger inflammation. Under such circumstances, since there is no demand for clotting to prevent blood loss, this fibrin will circulate through the blood and stick to the walls of blood vessels. This contributes to the formation of blood clots, slows blood flow and increases the viscosity of the blood. The result is loss of oxygen to body tissue which can contribute to heart attack, stroke, and senile dementia. While the body does produce enzymes that break down fibrin, it does not always do so efficiently, especially as we grow older.
Nattokinase is an enzyme that will break down fibrin in the blood. It is derived from natto, a fermented soy bean food that is commonly eaten by the Japanese. SERRAPEPTASE (Pronounced: Serra pep tase), is a type of proteolytic (protein digesting) enzyme. It is produced in the intestines of silk worms in order to break down the walls of cocoons. It can also be made through the fermentation process of certain bacteria.
Orally-administered Serrapeptase is well absorbed in the small intestine and actively transferred into the general circulation. It must be taken in enteric coated tablets or capsules in order to by-pass stomach acid.
This enzyme has been shown to dissolve plaque in the arteries, alleviate inflammation and reduce the viscosity of mucous connected with bronchitis and sinusitis.

CINNAMON: In a recent 40 day study, 60 participants were given one gram (roughly one-quarter teaspoon) per day of cinnamon. This study showed a lowering of blood sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides. A USDA study found that the beneficial effects of cinnamon lasted up to 20 days after discontinued usage.
Cinnamon appears to make cells more sensitive to insulin. Cinnamon contains a water soluble polyphenol compound called MHCP which mimics insulin and appears to activate insulin receptors in the cell.

StemEnhance:
Milk ‘N Honey carries a product called StemEnhance. StemEnhance contains two compounds extracted from a certain species of Blue Green Algae that has been shown to increase the release of stem cells from the bone marrow into the blood stream. One gram of StemEnhance has been shown to produce a 25 to 30% increase in the number of circulating stem cells. Blood samples of volunteers were tested to determine the base line number of circulating stem cells. Part of the group was then given StemEnhance and part of the group was given a placebo. Thermography is digital infrared thermal imaging of the body that identifies heat patterns which are recorded on paper as a thermogram. Having an annual thermogram allow you to map changes in the body's heat patterns and alerts you to deviations from the norm.
